A Little About Clay
J. Ryan Heiskell has years of first-hand knowledge and experience with the law and particularly with products liability, personal injury, inverse condemnation, trespass and environmental litigation.
Ryan decided he didn’t want to go to medical school any longer; he wanted to be a trial lawyer. That case was Huber v. Ford and was tried by Cam Lewis and Hike Heiskell to a multi-million dollar Plaintiffs’ verdict. While in law school at the Ohio Northern University of Law, Ryan also helped prepare and try Watson v. Ford, which was also tried to a verdict and award of $18 Million Dollars.
Since then, Ryan and his family (wife and 3 sons) have continued to live in South Carolina, where he enjoyed his role as a partner in a prominent plaintiffs’ law firm at Bell Legal Group, LLC. He has managed cases across the Country against Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Kia, and Nissan.
Ryan worked at the Lewis Babcock, LLP in Columbia, SC. This allowed him to work cases such as, criminal defense, commercial disputes, condemnation, “dram shop” cases, as well as legal and medical malpractice.
Recently, Ryan joined the Hopkins Law Firm, LLC. He is licensed in South Carolina and the District of Columbia (which is reciprocal with all States).
